Kathy + Bill Engaged!

As most of you know, my sister Kathy is ENGAGED! It's such an exciting time in her life and I am so proud to be able to share in everything leading up to her big day!

If you haven't visted her blog ... you really should It's my way of documenting her "journey to the big day".

Anyway- on our list of "things to accomplish by August 2008, we had "engagement pictures" down because she wanted to have them taken while there were still nice pretty flowers blooming.

Check. .. and Check! Name a time and place and I will be there!

Friday night was the time and Shadyside Park was THE place!

Kathy + Bill followed me to Anderson on the Harley. We both got stopped at a stoplight and I took full advantage of the opportunity by snapping this shot out of my side mirror. HEHEHE

As you all know, I have a very odd obsession with Silhouette pictures. I don't know why, but I do. Luckily, we were just in time for at least 1 silhouette ... which made me very very happy.

Before I go any further....

Meet Kathy - my sister, mother of my two beautiful neices and soon-to-be step mommy to my soon-to-be-nephew Gavin. (did you get all of that?) Kathy and I share the same biological father and as life would have it ... she and I didn't meet until I was about 11 years old. Interesting story.

Anyway- as if you didn't know ... she's going to be the most beautiful bride EVER.

Now meet Bill... my soon-to-be brother-in-law. (OMG SHUT UP! I'm going to have a brother in law!!!) Bill is one of the hardest working men I know; and has such a big desire to provide for his family. He also accepts my sister just the way she is (trashed car and all). For that, I love him!!

Bill was such a good sport throughout our little "session" doing whatever I told him (no, really - he did!) and smiling whole heartedly in every picture.

Seeing them interact together, through the lens of my camera made me have no doubts that he truly loves her with everything he has.

...and that is simply all i could ask for him to do with my sister.

FAVE ALERT.... FAVE ALERT ...

As I was taking this picture ... (which i've taken a couple of times before with different couples) ... I realized something.

It takes both people to spell L.O.V.E

Without the other person you either have "LO" or "VE". Neither of which mean anything by themselves.

But together... they mean everything.

Kathy and Bill ... please don't ever forget that it takes both of you to create a home filled with LOVE. May this picture remind you of that... always.

Speaking of LOVE....

It started getting H-O-T behind the lens of my camera!!!

MEOWWWWWW

Remember I mentioned that they drove the Harley to meet me.

We traded the Harley for a Dinocycle :) HEHEHEHEHEH (i just made that up, laugh dang it!)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing this special time with the two of you.

I cannot wait to watch your relationship and love grow in the years ahead.

I can see your unconditional love for one another glowing through your eyes, through the way you touch eachother and the way my heart feels when I'm around you two.

There is nothing that Love can't work out...

Jaycey

This evening I was so excited to be able to hang out with Jaycey.... my favorite teenager in the whole world!

Jaycey

Jaycey was born when I was her age and it truly seems like just yesterday I was strapping her to an office chair and pushing her around the house as a baby. Then she got older and I used to take her for photo shoots with my old film camera just because she always had so much fun when I would take her by myself and do her hair and dress her up and take pictures of her.

We used to drive around, top down in my convertible and just have a good time! Just the two of us.

When she was about 4 years old, we used to say to eachother "i love YOU the morler" (meaning I love you more). SO CUTE.

We hadn't taken pictures together for quite a while, so I picked her up and we went exploring the land for new places to be creative.

Soooo, we headed to the country!

We turned down a road and came across William...

...standing right in the middle of the road in front of my car. We were DYING. Finally, he moved and went to the field beside my car and started eating some beans!

We named him William beacuse "billy-goat" was just tooo unoriginal for such a brave goat.

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="480" caption="null"][/caption]

We ended up finding a nice field to take some fun pics in.

This girl WORKED IT OUT...

We had been at the field for just a short amount of time when a dog started howling and barking at us. Bingo was his name-o. So we ran to the car and got the heck outttta there!!

We ended up in a small patch of "weeds" which ended up a lot safer than the old Country Road where William and Bingo resided and protected the land.

Jayce, I am NOT mad at you for being so fricken adorable...

Jacinda Baboonda... (yes that is your real name..)

Thank you for hanging out with me tonight. I always have such a good time photographing you because you're always up for something new and fun!

God has a BIG plan for you.

He made you, perfectly.

...on the inside and out.

There is no one else like you.

Never forget that.

Aubrey Renee'

If you follow my blog regularly, you will remember Heather from a couple of weeks ago who was due to have Aubrey on July 8th.

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="480" caption="null"][/caption]

I am SO happy to report that Miss Aubrey Renee was welcomed to the world by her family nearly 2 weeks ago. She weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and it just the prettiest little girl!

I was so happy to hear from Heather earlier this week when she asked me to come and take some newborn pictures of Aubrey (...and her 2 big sisters)!

We scheduled it for after church today and I couldn't wait!!

When I pulled up to their house, the biggest sister Taylor was standing outside waiting for me waving! She is SO CUTE! A little girl after my heart!

I grabbed my little suitcase with my props, backdrops, and camera and headed inside to find the perfect little baby.

Heather + Ryan were up for anything, so I spent over an hour hanging out with the new family of 5 posing Miss Aubrey and of course taking pictures in between of the older sisters Taylor + Madi

Newborn pictures are so hard to take because new babies are NOT interactive at all! They are usually either sleeping or fussing, but Aubrey was such a good girl! She only fussed a little bit (and rightfully so... she was tired of being posed!)

Without further adieu ... meet Aubrey.

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

Even though she's nearly 8 pounds she seems SO tiny! She has a tiny bit of blondish/redish/brownish hair and looks a little bit like BOTH of her sisters!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="327" caption="null"][/caption]

Aubrey isn't a pacifier baby, but luckily she used it a little bit when she was fussing. At one point, she was holding on to it pretty TIGHT!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

I got my camera ready and told daddy to pull it out on the count of 3.

When i got to 3, he pulled it out and she must've had a TIGHT grip on it because her whole little head moved!

But her lips stayed the same!

I love it!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="327" caption="null"][/caption]

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="480" caption="null"][/caption]

I don't know if Aubrey knows how lucky she is to have such an awesome family that loves her SOOO much already!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

Taylor + Maddy + Aubrey

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

How precious!?!!?!

Taylor is a little mini-momma

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="327" caption="null"][/caption]

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

At one point, Aubrey was getting kinda fussy so the big sisters decided that they wanted to have some fun taking pictures with the big flowers I had brought.

NO PROBLEM!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="326" caption="null"][/caption]

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="327" caption="null"][/caption]

Do kids get any cuter than this?

I mean SERIOUSLY!?!?!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="479" caption="null"][/caption]

I love piggies!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for letting me hang out with you all this afternoon! Your family is so so so blessed!

See you next time!

MUCH LOVE!
