April's Extended Family Photos

A few days before Christmas, I received a phone call from a lady named April as a referral from another one of my friends Jessica. April said that some of her family was in town from out of state and she was hoping to get some pictures with her family, her siblings, her mom and her grandma.

As you all know, I do enjoy taking all sorts of photos, but I genuinely enjoy taking pictures of new parents and elderly people. I guess because those two things in a family are so monumental. As morbid as it sounds, the generations that came before us won't be around forever, so I love it when a family asks me to take photos "with grandma/grandpa". Those photos will be treasured so much after they leave this Earth and I love knowing that I took part and shared in that experience.

Anyway - because of the holiday - we weren't sure if we could pull everyone together for an indoor photoshoot, since it's so cold out . We compared our schedules and decided that I would meet at April's house on Saturday evening!

When I arrived, her family was so welcoming and I definately felt right at home. April's kids are the cutest kiddos EVER!

Meet Jared and Paige



I'm not sure if I'm getting the spelling correct, but Jared (the big brother) is 4 and Paige (the little sister) is 2. They were so fun! Jared had tons of trains and wanted them in nearly every picture. Paige had a new FurReal Kitty and it showed up in quite a few photos as well !

I learned while i was at their house, that they've been married for 10 years!! CONGRATS GUYS!!

While the kiddos took a break from photos and ate some pizza, I got to hang out with Tiffany and Seth, April's brother and sister in law!

Carli Ballet

Where do I even start?

I've known Carli since riiiight before she became a "plan"!

From the moment that little girl was born, she has always been absolutely beautiful. She was the kind of gorgeous baby that other people talked about! Her dainty little features, beautiful blonde hair, sweet face ... I could go on and on.

Carli isn't really the "sports" type of girl. Over the summer, she decided she wanted to do ballet so her parents said ok and got her all registered for the classes.

...and she makes THE most beautiful Ballerina.

I'm pretty sure most of her world now revolves around singing Taylor Swift, Hannah Montana and dancing!

Anyway - she's lucky enough to be able to participate in the upcoming production of The Nutcracker in Anderson this month, and we can't wait to go see her in it!

Santa MIGHT be bringing her a whole new Ballet bedding set, so in honor of that, her mommy wanted a nice poster wall hanging that had to do with Ballet.

Since wall art is usually rediculously expensive ... I got an idea!!

Let's make a TUTU!!!! I have some other fun ideas for my tutu-creation, but this one can go right in there with it.

So I headed to Hobby Lobby, got the stuff and started making the TUTU!

There are some things on it that i'd like to change but for the sake of the photos I wanted to get done last night, it worked. Some minor editing took care of most of my concerns, so it's ok!

I'm so excited with the way most of the photos turned out.

I'm more excited because now Carli will have some wall-art that includes her!!
